Værelset levede ikke op til det der var på billedet. Der var ingen udsugning på badeværelset så alt var fugtigt og vådt. Kunne hente en hårtørrere i receptionen. Eller var alt andet godt.

God beliggenhet men en del som trakk ned

Hotellet hadde veldig bra beliggenhet, men vi ble overrasket over at det ikke var daglig renhold. Det hadde vi ikke fått informasjon om på forhånd. Vi gikk tom for toalettpapir og kontaktet resepsjonen, de lovet å bringe til rommet, men det kom aldri så vi hentet selv på restaurantens toalett. Nøkkelkortet ble deaktivert hvert døgn. Vi besøkte baren og der tok det svært lang tid, vi bestilte tre drinker og fikk to. Disse var betalt og servitøren fortalte at den siste hadde de ikke. Det kunne de fortalt ved bestilling. Og til sist, de tilbyr ikke baggasje oppbevaring så vi betalte 10 pund ekstra for å ha rommet to timer lengre. På plussiden var sengene gode og badet helt ok. God frokost med greit utvalg av varmretter, men ikke noe ost eller skinke.

They went out of their way way to get gluten free bread for me for the included breakfast when they found out i had celiac; the staff were generally very helpful. If you need to store your luggage (because you arrive early or are staying in town for a few hours after checkout, you have to bring them to a place across the street (4 pounds per day for 1 large bag or two small)

Great location just off the Royal Mile. Room was small, addition of 2 chairs made it hard to move around bed. Bathroom could do with an update.

Overall I had a nice stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was the only negative. The food was quite bland and overcooked.

This is a great hotel if all you want is a safe, convenient, great located hotel. Definitely no frills here, very basic furniture. Breakfast was good too

Fantastic stay here! Stayed two nights, staff were excellent, breakfast was fantastic, location is perfect! Short walk from train station- loved Edinburgh!

The personell is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple but absolutely fine, given the very central location just around the corner from the Royal Mile. The rooms to the road are quite noisy, but those to the back are fine. Breakfast is very basic with a limited choice. Guests should not expect a fancy hotel, but it is fine for a city trip under simpler conditions, especially given its brilliant location.

Fantastic area for walking to the Royal mile and the castle. Staff were amazingly friendly. Breakfast was amazing. The room was average but location was everything.

We arrived and were told they were renovating rhe breakfast room and there was no provision for breakfast which was one of the reasons we booked. We.could have at least received a voucher for breakfadt at a voffee shop. We were told that we would be refunded foe the breakfast. Hope it happens! Our room was on the 5th floor but the elevator only went to the 4th floor so as retirees we had to lug our suitcases up ourselves.. There was no bath mats in the bath room. To top it all off the internet service was awful. First of all there was only 30 minutes alloted but it kept going off. Then you wrre required to pay $4,50 for afditional internet service. Whoever heard of such a thing in this day and age Small B&B's we stayed at had much better aervice. Would not recommend this Travellodge.

Some great, some awful

Great location, super friendly and helpful ppl behind the desk (they did in fact hold our luggage, which was a very pleasant surprise). Beds were quite uncomfortable, especially the rollaway for our son, pillows also flat and hard. Room was clean, but zero amenities aside from an attached shampoo/body soap on the wall. We are ok with budget hotels, but the beds have to at least be comfortable. One other small, weird issue: at the breakfast buffet they have the plates fully stacked up under heat lamps, with a little sign overhead you may or may not see saying may be hot. They aren’t hot they will give you a second degree burn on your hand. They half heartedly put some napkins also on top to the side to use to hold them, which may or may not be noticed. I saw them but it didn’t register that it was to hold my plate, as I’ve never needed it before. I don’t know about you but this is totally unacceptable to me, thank goodness I learned thi lesson the hard way and not my kid. It’s a super easy fix too: don’t stack the plates all the way to the top where the lights are, take out a ligh bulb or two, etc. I don’t think we would stay here again, but over all It was a decent experience. The staff watching our luggage made up for the discomfort and the burn on my hand.
