"We booked the Silver Lake Pool and Inn for a one-night stay to celebrate a birthday. Four of us stayed in the the queen double room and we all absolutely loved it! The view of the hills and the neighborhood were gorgeous. We loved the furniture and design (it felt like a hip and groovy house) and the beds were comfy. We asked for a quiet room and were accommodated, no noise issues to report! Reesee and Perla checked us in, and they were sweet and very helpful and thoughtful. The valet service...

I’d say the only downsides for me is that there’s too many locks throughout the property (a total of 4 to go through before you can enter your room - 1 at the main entrance, 2 to enter the building and 1 to enter the room) and since there’s no on-site staff you have to message them on Expedia and wait for a response and they can be a little slow). "This place was very clean and well maintained, spotless in fact, but the only "amenities" are vending machines with drinks and ice. It is more of a very clean and nice motel, not a hotel or inn. Perfect if you want to stay in that area. The immediate neighborthood around the Dunes is not exciting, but there are good bars and restaurants not too far. The employees and operations manager are very nice, flexible and accommodating, and I would certainly stay there again with the above in mind."

"This place is an alright stay.We only stayed in town 1 night to attend a Dodgers game. The rooms are spacious and clean.The surrounding area of the hotel is a little crusty. "The assistant manager, Amy was absolutely awful. She was rude and would not give the name of the manager nor the company who owned the hotel. Our air-conditioning did not work. Our TV did not work. We called several times and they never came. I have stayed there several times in the past and never had a problem. This place is gotten horrible and Amy was the reason as well. They are trying to double charge us for parking and amenities. The place really went downhill."

"Room was clean. Bathroom had two towels, but one wash cloth and one hand towel for two people. Mattress was servicable, but that's about it. The hotel offers free exterior parking, but only 9 parking spaces, all of which were taken when we returned after leaving for the afternoon. Lot's of homeless folks in the neighborhood. All in all, the hotel is not a bad choice for the budget conscious, like me."
