"The only thing that makes this hotel remotely worth it is the Hollywood hills view from your bed. However, unless you in floor 8 or above you’re not getting the best version that view. If you book the just the “Hollywood hills view” the staff will put you in a room on the 5th - 7th floor where there is an apartment building obstructing your view. I think they save the worst rooms for people who book with 3rd party booking sites or they just didn’t like us for no good reason. When we went back to change our room they told us there were none available on higher floors. So I went online to book another room and the ‘high floor Hollywood hills view’ were available for that night. As you can see from many reviews the front desk staff is terrible. They are ‘LA rude’. They make assumptions about you and determine your worthiness based on whatever they think. However, the Restaurant staff, cleaning staff, and Valet staff were all great and kind. Outside of that the rooms are very dated, dusty and millwork is warping. Rooms and bathrooms are on the small size and they still use shower curtains in the bathroom. With a little lip so your floor is wet when you get out. I don’t know how this is considered a 4 star hotel. It’s hasn’t been worthy of 4 Stars in a long time. Again the Hollywood hills sign view is the only reason we stayed here because nothing else is worth it. But if you ignore everything else and still book make sure you get a high floor."

"Fabulous pool area. Ask for a room with a view of the Hollywood sign. Traditional style older room was perfect for our one night stay. Bar and restaurant also a bonus. Perfect location for a walk to main sites."

"There is a parking structure underground which leads you up into the lobby but closes after 10PM for security. Staff was really friendly even when arriving late at night. "

"The hotel is an updated motel. It's clean and the location is really good But no real amenities and only tea and coffee in the morning. The water for tea was luke warm and the milk was off. I went to trader joes close by and grabbed some juice and on the drive home grabbed some caffeine! okay for a quick overnight in LA, if you are staying any longer I would get a different place. "

"The first room smelled awful. They showed me 2 other available rooms before deciding on the third. My office wanted me to move hotels but reluctantly I stayed. No water to drink in room…. everything is an additional charge."
