"We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn."

"This is a very nice old historic inn. It has a restaurant that serves lunch and dinner, and a bar inside, as well as a shady garden with places to sit outside as you enjoy a drink or food. Nice big porch out front with chairs on it too. Our room had another sitting room in it that was nice to have. Not sure if they all do. "The hotel is a bit dated for the price. The rooms could use a face lift. The complimentary breakfast is helpful, but the offerings are very basic and it gets very, very crowded in the breakfast area making it hard to find seating and to get food. Our room wasn't ready at 4:00 and everyone else checking in at the same time as us seemed to also be having issues with their rooms not being ready. It was a mess. "We stayed here last minute! I was happy with our choice. Staff was helpful and our room was clean .Very accommodating, safe, and spacious enough for 2 people staying overnight. It came with free breakfast. It did not have a big selection but it was fine. There are stores and fast food joints close by. They have a gym and pool but unfortunately the pool wasnt open. Overall our stay was good!"

"This was one of the worst properties we have stayed at. Upon arrival the receptionist was rude. We got a nonsmoking room and they stated they charged $250 if we smoked in the room, yet as soon as we opened the door, all we could smell was smoke. There were holes in the walls, the stair railing was falling, electrical wiring was showing, the room was extremely dirty, there were bugs, the tv in the bedroom didn’t work, and the bathroom light did not work. "We had a few issues in the beginning of our stay, but they did get resolved on our last night. Some issues were cable not working, internet not connecting to devices, there was a telephone, but no hooks up so the phone didnt even work. The room was cleaned in a rush, there was a pretzel under the mattress.. & there was not spare toilet paper roll."

"Room wasn’t clean even in the slightest. Nothing had been mopped or wiped down. The toilet and bathtub was still dirty and even had hair in it. The fire alarm was ripped off the wall at some point in time and the fridge was beyond disgusting. There was raw, rotting, chicken drums left in it for god knows how long and was leaking juices inside and outside of the fridge and stunk. It was so bad we had to leave the hotel and find a new place to stay at. Even the hallways smelt like dirty diapers....

"Plenty of space in the deluxe apartment for a short stay. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean. Summer is very busy, so pools were a little too crowded, but this is understandable given the time of year."
