"A beautiful hotel in the center of lovely La Jolla. Rooms were comfortably sized and bed very comfy. Valet was generally excellent though there was one time we really needed the car quickly and I could not find the valet for 10-15 mins."

"For La Jolla, this was pretty good in a very expensive market on the price quality spectrum. A typical motel from the 1960s that’s been renovated. The staff is very nice, and parking is easy."

"Very nice staff. Very small rooms. The rooms on the street level are like motel rooms where you enter the room from the outside are very loud. There is only one very small window so very little light in the room and not many lamps. Room is very dark. The air conditioning was very loud and probably why ear plugs are provided on the bedside."

"Overall a nice hotel with lovely staff. Only a 7 minute walk to the beach. The restaurant had mediocre food, but also nice staff. I wish the hotel had some beach chairs to borrow, as this is a pricey stay and one amenity would have been nice."

This hotel is deeply, and heavily UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!! They expect you to pay full price and to hear wedding music bumping loud till 10p, and at 7am you wake up to concrete being drilled, construction workers YELLING, chains and drills going off for minutes on end until 3p!!! "We loved our stay at the Hyatt La Jolla. About a 18 min drive from the main shops and restaurants area, great pool and amenities, restaurant and cafe on site were nice to have when travelling with small kids. The property is well maintained. Rooms are comfortable, could be a bit updated and cleaner but the beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and accomodating when we asked them to push one of the beds to the wall to precent our toddler from falling at night. Would...
