"I wanted to wait before writing the review and honestly I wish I could rate it better - but I was left with a less than satisfactory opinion of Gilberts. The good - restaurant was very good, food we had was excellent and drinks were fairly priced for the Keys. The staff was very nice, especially Kevin and others we crossed paths with were great as well. The room was nicely sized and the bed was comfortable. "We love coming here and will still be regulars because the staff and area are great. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing due to the bathroom condition — it didn’t seem properly cleaned, the shower had dark residue I hope it isn’t mold , the floors weren’t mopped, and the shower faucet was broken making it difficult to adjust the water randomly turns extremely hot. Still a nice place overall, and I hope this feedback helps maintain the usual standards. "
