"I was stunned how good this was. Everything was very clean; everything was in good condition; staff were helpful and appeared to really be happy to give first rate service. I've stayed in Burton a few time in vatious hoteks and this budget hotel was better than any of the others I've used."

"The lift broke and as a disabled person the 2nd floor was an issue so Alison on reception not only moved me to the ground floor but collected all my belongings and brought them down for me. The room was clean comfy and quiet, would recommend the breakfast as well, purchase with your booking it’s cheaper. The only other issue I had was the disabled toilet was out of use in the reception I would however stay again. "

Buffet breakfast health club was excellent and free pool sauna steam room all top notch for the price will paid for a stay would not hesitate to stay here again on our way up North to break the trip up "

"A tastefully and comfortably modernised pub in a somewhat downbeat village near the M1 and airport but surprisingly quiet. The M1 is white noise in the background. I couldn't hear the planes. Rooms in the pub's grounds were comfortable with parking right outside and the food was amazing, including breakfast. No soggy mushrooms! If I was a lone female traveller I would feel particularly safe here. Very happy that we broke our journey overnight and will definitely do so again. "

"The gentleman that checked us in was helpful, kind and very polite. Then after not the most amazing stay with a boiler problem and cold showers, also no heating in the room, (it was cold), we were apologised too and refunded our breakfast. We will give this hotel another chance but were close to not doing so."

"A very comfortable and relaxed hotel. Clean, well appointed bedroom, friendly, helpful staff. pleasant, if uninspiring breakfasts, well prepared food served in the bar with chef's specials to round out the menu. Parts of the exterior of one wing in need of some cosmetic attention but the rest of the facade of this massive, rambling property not at all bad and the interiors good. Beautiful countryside surroundings as well as attractive golf course. "

"My friend and I had a lovely stay. Room was spotless. Bed was so comfy, shower huge. Used the spa facilities, which again was very nice, not too busy, only negative was would have liked robes in the room. It would have been good if the bar stayed open afer 12 though as would have enjoyed a quiet night cap after christmas party. Will definitely stay again. Breakfast in the morning was good, nice selection."
