"Room had been prebooked and paid for, hotel had been called and car parking booked in advance. On arriving at the hotel the car park barrier was being repaired with gaffer tape and we were instructed to park on double yellows. On attempting to check in we were told the hotel was fully booked and they didn't have the room that had been booked. "On arrival, we were shown to the "penthouse", a twin room on the third floor. The large bedroom light worked, but none of the smaller, bedside lights worked, so not great at night - totally or all nothing. Floor-space in the room was significantly compromised by a dismantled wooden bed-frame cluttering up the room. The toilet adjacent to our room was ok but we were told that the shower room was not usable so we had to use one on the lower floor (which was for several other rooms). My partner...

"Clean room although too small for a queen bed and a made up sofa bed - which I didn’t need. Plenty of parking space. Good choice of food for breakfast. Complimentary water. Nice air con and a fabulous shower"
