"This was our worst travel experience. We were staying there for a wedding in which the after party was on location. We had called for an early check-in due to a wedding and the shuttles us taking us from the Hyatt to the venue at 3:30. We were told to come early and they will get us in as soon as a room is available. That didn't happen. We waited for a room at one of their restaurant bars. The service was beyond slow and the staff wasn't very friendly. Bartender actually kept saying could use help to others standing around, and then when someone came behind she said you can't be here.
A room never became available. At 3:00 we went back to the desk saying the shuttle is leaving from out front in 30 minutes and we have to get dressed. They had a bellman bring us to a locker room to get ready. We still had all of our luggage and he stated he would make sure it got to our room. When we arrived back at our place at midnight, our luggage was there, however my jacket twas missing. Needless to say, the next morning we called lost and found and she said she would call around to find out where it might be. Of course it was never found.

"Clean rooms close to Legoland. It's the one hotel we try to get every time we go to Legoland. The staff is super friendly. There is a laundry unit which makes it very convenient."
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego - Mission Valley
2/10 Terrible
"This hotel is very outdated and run down. The star rating is at best a 2.5 star. We arrived late and the front desk was understaffed. They were doing a great job handling it and were courteous. When we got to our room there were big stains on the chair and the room was not to a clean line standard I would expect from a Hilton property.
The hallways are run down and all the doors on our floor looked like someone had been stabbed randomly by something sharp with gouges/holes on the door. A few had been painted over but it wasn't done well.
The heating and cooking system is really bad. If you set the temp to above 65 the heat kicked on even though the room temp was 69. So the only way to get air conditioning was to set it at 65 and freeze
The water pressure in the shower was also really bad.
We got in so late that I didn't have the energy to go down and wait and complain to the front desk, they were understaffed. We were just there overnight and left early.
Overall this is a property is in bad need of repair and updating.
The lobby looked nice but once you entered the hallways and rooms it was fast downhill. "
"The room was clean but dated. The toilet drained slowly. It stopped draining and we were unable to have maintenance fix it for 12 hours because there was no one there. It was fixed after our second trip to the desk in the morning (once maintenance arrived). The cordless phone didn't actually charge (because there was no cord to plug in the base) so it was basically a throwback to look at from the 90s. Breakfast included was hot and fresh. It was usually eggs, potatoes, and sausage patties. There was also oatmeal, toast, yogurt, cereal and fruit. Parking was easy. Easy location to get to. 200ft to the original Rubio's."
