"We were on a cycle tour and we left our bikes locked up safely in the entrance way. Our room was very comfortable, we stayed in the Curiosities room. The hotel is in a characterful building and is thoughtfully decorated with great attention to detail. It was a shared bathroom, which we actually had to ourselves, again nicely decorated and clean. A pleasant nights sleep, and handily placed for all the amenities, cafe, restaurants. We had the breakfast in the salon on the ground floor which was...

"I personally like the convenience and privacy of an ensuite, which is the only reason Trecastle doesn't get five stars all the way. That aside it's an excellent place to stay with lovely, friendly hosts and secure garage parking for my motorbike. I will return."

"The help and support that Silvie gave us due to our traffic accident the day before was beyond anything we might have hoped for. From arranging us access to the hotel after hours to contacting Europcar and working with them to find a location to pick up a replacement car to scheduling a taxi for us to get to Bergerac to get the car. Silvie was incredibly supportive as if that we were her only job for that day. We were treated not as clients but as valued guests at your lovely hotel. What...

"It is a beautiful old French house with many traditional features we enjoyed a lovely stay there. Sondrine the proprietor was extremely helpful in every aspect from helping us with our poor French language skills to everything you can mention cannot rate it highly enough."

Merci beaucoup. "

"Incredibly beautiful and tastefully decorated ~16C chateau. Very welcoming host for whom nothing was too much trouble."
