"The atmosphere was very nice More representative of what the real Hawaii is like. The staff were all very nice. Pool hot tub snorkel gear paddle boards and kayaks were really nice to have available. Comfortable bed Seating not so comfortable but we didn’t spend much time in the room. The room needs some repairs ie door sticks linen closet needs repainting. Overall we had a very nice stay. Thanks for a pleasurable stay"

"Bed Sheets stained with blood, room moved to had hairball in shower, coffee pot did not work, room not cleaned after first night, lack of communication from upper management, sliding glass door misrepresents you can have it open to hear ocean...I could go on but...."

We paid more to have an oceanfront room but were located directly above the restaurant with loud live music and lots of loud partying. We were also awakened in the night by what sounded like 2 hours of dragging furniture across the room. The room and the balcony were spacious with a great view of the beach. "I don’t even know where to begin. The whole building looks like it hasn’t been improved or painted since the 1970s. I cannot believe Wyndham would put their name on this building. The restaurant and bar they have was grossly understaffed and very overpriced. The in room air conditioner was so loud, it was like sleeping on the runway of the airport. "Unfortunately, the hotel has become very very tired. Even had wood trim in bathroom cracked and looks termite eaten The Royal Hawaiian Hotel was a big disappointment. The room price far exceeds the quality Food was ok - not great - even the coffee was watered down with no flavor. Wait staff uniforms look tired and blah - they allow any shoes which cheapens the look The staff says next year will be a refresh of the property I hope it is much more than a “refresh”. We very much enjoyed the minimalist style, and it offered the perfect balance of being close to a variety of activities and attractions, while also providing a relaxing place to unwind whenever we needed.
