"Booked a superior studio, room was a good size, clean and had everything needed. Beds very comfortable Location was great, close to cafes, shops and tram line. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again! Only thing I would criticise was the condition of the balcony area, looked like it hadn't been tidied for some time."

"Spacious room. Small bathroom. Heating worked well. Contactless check in - had to call a number for them to remotely let us in the hotel and our room. Microwave and plates in the room was handy. Free street parking overnight. Overall good value for money."

"The check in was an unpleasant start to the stay. It took us an hour to get our garage key (wrong code provided), get into the room and then park the car in the stacker. This included two trips to the car to unload our luggage and several calls to the staff for help. The staff member was so patient. Unfortunately the phone connection (Telstra) kept dropping out in the garage and later in the apartment. "Stayed for a couple nights, booked a King bedroom. Clean, modern room but a bit small with an unusual bathroom layout. No mirror in front of sink, so had to use the portable vanity mirror to see while brushing or flossing. The front desk was all very helpful and friendly. Located across a park, just outside Melbourne CBD, so it felt spacious leaving the hotel. Also very close to trams and transit, though we didn’t use because we mostly walked to everything."

Birches Apartment was a good size with a comfortable layout and in a great location close to much of what Melbourne has to offer. The bed was comfortable with good quality Hotel type sheets.
