Fajardo is a great town. There's something for everyone, I was surprised to find that it's slowly becoming a food town. Then you have the beaches, the rivers, boat access to the outer islands. Totally recommend for a relaxing weekend!

Although we had planned to go to the biobay nearby, the moon was almost full, so we skipped that excursion. We did visit the rain forest and enjoyed what we were able to see there. We were a bit disappointed that so many trails are still closed.

Fajardo is so much better in the less touristy areas. The food next to the resort was much better, but still a little more pricey than the non-resort areas of Fajardo.

Beautiful part of Puerto Rico. Rent a car and eat at good local places instead of resort.

Don't book the all-day snorkeling tour if what you are interested in is snorkeling. The 6-hour tour is mostly Beach and a very short snorkel experience on a reef that is not at its best
