"Stayed at Hotel Alta Montaña and it delivered exactly what you want from a mountain base. Clean, quiet, and well run. The staff are genuinely welcoming, not just polite, which makes a difference when you’re staying a few days. The views are outstanding, especially sitting above the cloud layer at around 1,400 meters. From a cycling standpoint, the location is hard to beat. You’re essentially on the climb the moment you roll out. You can head straight toward Teide or descend as far as you like...

"Really lovely peaceful stay at Kora Tigot. Beautiful apartment with lots of space for our family of 4, lots of good amenities like gym and laundry. Well equipped kitchen and free refillable water station. Lovely chilled pool, very clean. Free parking in the road. Local area is very quiet, mini supermarket around the corner. A very chilled holiday for us."

"Handy spot close to the south airport, which is why we booked it for a late evening arrival with a toddler. It’s a large hotel and, as others have mentioned, a little dated in places, but the apartment rooms are spacious and comfortable. Being on the ground floor made it really easy to access the restaurant, where the buffet breakfast was excellent. "Bruno was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Tenerife and gave us excellent advice for days out and making the most of public transport too. He was always friendly, courteous and attentive. "No AC the beds and pillows are really bad and uncomfortable. I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping with windows opened. So we had a really bad first night. The front desk lady from Bulgary moved us to a room that had AC."

"I’ve been to Santa Barbara before and returned because the team are super helpful, the accommodation is great value for money. The resort is kept super clean and you have everything you need nearby. The only thing I had a challenge with was that the aircon kept intermittently switching itself off so we had to keep resetting it. Apart from that fabulous all round and it didn’t spoil our holiday."
