"Good location, lovely character building (but with this noise insulation is limited, fine with ear plugs). Very clean. Budget room was cosy but someone had thought about good storage in the room, which had a fridge and coffee maker (I don’t drink coffee, so didn’t use). There was a small shelf in the bathroom and hook, decor was nice, could even see the sea from the window. Room was better than some more expensive places I stayed during this trip. "

"This is a 1st rate place with a very proffesional staff; moreover, the hotel is in an excellent spot, very centric. The only REAL drawback that I can say is the lack of any proper chinaware in the rooms (paper cups don't cut it for me). "

"Beautiful hotel. The rooms were nice and the area very quiet. The dinner was good and the breakfast buffet exceptional. We were taking a Douro River cruise and the location was very close to the port. Taxis are readily available outside"

"Very disappointing stay — we ended up checking out three days earlier than originally planned. The facilities are clearly outdated. The shower is built into a bathtub with only a curtain, which feels inconvenient and not in line with what you would expect at this price point. The air conditioning also performed poorly — even in April, the room was warmer than the outside temperature.
