"We had the most wonderful stay here for 3 days over easter. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, every part of it is carefully thought out. The decor is gorgeous, rooms spacious with lovely high ceilings and it is immaculately clean. The grounds are stunning, service and staff exceptional, i cannot think of one negative thing about our stay. Breakfast was also excellent and dinner in the restaurant the same with very reasonable pricing too for a 5 star hotel. A couple of minutes walk away are a couple of pleasant local restaurants and if you have a car, lots of hikes nearby. We loved every minute of our stay and would return in a heartbeat. "

"Puro Dao is one of my best hotel and spa experiences. To start with the location; It is located in the outskirts of a charming village in the countryside. There is a station 2 minutes away so you don’t need a car to get there. Once you inside you fell relaxed and very welcome by the lovely staff. Everything is perfect from the different climate smart light to the materials and over to the furnitures and interior design. The Spa is amazing and so is the outdoor pool in the garden. The nature surrounding the village is great for hiking and there is different hiking trails. After the hike I recommend a treatment in the spa, I got a hot stone massage which was heaven. Finally, don’t miss the great local wines and food in the restaurant, or the breakfast. "

"The facility are no good,the air conditioning system was old and noisy. Poor cleanliness,they didn’t change beds,from one day to the other they didn’t clean the room. The staff was at war with themselves."

"The room was very substandard the first night which they then upgraded us (at a cost) for the next two nights. The rooms are very tired and could use some TLC - especially for the amount being charged. The breakfast included has good value with selection and quality. "

"The staff was so very welcoming and nice. They were patient with us as we are learning Portuguese but out native language is English. They help us. The room was nice and worked for a quick overnight stay to see the fireworks last night. "
