"The Hotel looked excellent - unfortunately we weren't able to stay there - why? Because the hotel was closed for refurbishment - and EXPEDIA failed to notify us prior to travelling - and also EXPEDIA refused to share our phone number with the hotel so they were unable to inform us in advance of our arrival - fortunately the hotel staff were able to assist us in gettinga ccomodation nearby. They were friendly at check in and took us to our room, leaving us some shortbread biscuits. Breakfast in the Grain store was amazing, we also had dinner there."

"Scarborough Hill Country Inn is a a gem! We were pleased to be offered a room upgrade when we arrived as we had initially booked a small double room and a larger room was available. We were very happy with the room offered - bright, airy, thoughtfully furnished and extremely clean. An extensive range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate were provided in the room along with complementary water. The restaurant was busy, however staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble. 5 stars for the food...
