We had an enjoyable stay at the Hugo Hotel. The room was neat and clean, with good air conditioning. The hotel was an easy walking distance from the centre of Florence. While there was no lift to the hotel which is on the second floor, the host Rocco was happy to help me with bringing my luggage up.

The hotel was in a great location within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and shops in Florence. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet at night, which made it easy to relax after long days sightseeing. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming. After climbing the stairs, I was surprised how good, modern and well maintained was the hotel. Very polite and helpful staff. Great healthy breakfast! Close to main Florence attractions. Had a wonderful couple of days!

Konum olarak meydan ve gezilecek yerlere yürüme mesafesinde, asansör olmaması valizlerle biraz zorluyor ama idare ettik, sivri sinek sorunu oldu ona da sprey ve otelin verdiği fişe takılan cihazla çözdük. Genel olarak iyi sayılabilir.

The Hugo Boutique Hotel is a lovely property that combines modern furnishings with the charm of a historic building. My room featured a balcony, air conditioning, a mini fridge, a high-quality mattress, and a handheld bidet sprayer (shattaf) in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of options, including artichokes and fresh berries.The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Piazza del Duomo along a lively pedestrian street lined with souvenir shops, cafés, a tram stop, and a local grocery store (Pam Local). The management and staff (Rocco and Jessica) were exceptionally friendly, responsive, and helpful. Assistance is available 24/7 through direct contact, and they were especially helpful with taxi reservations and other requests, always responding promptly.

Easy walk to shops and historic sites. Bit of a climb up to the desk/rooms but the staff was ever so helpful getting luggage up. Double lock entry made us feel safe. Very busy street—loud-/but OMG, when you close the window, it was sooooo quiet!! Not recommended for older or disabled as stairs may be a big challenge. But room was lovely, staff was kind and breakfast was a treat.

Boutique Hotel Hugo has beautiful, very clean rooms that are nicely decorated. Breakfast was also good. Once you reach the hotel floor, everything feels welcoming and well maintained. However, I would describe it more as a full-floor B&B or guesthouse than a traditional boutique hotel. It is located on the third floor with no elevator, about 55 steps from street level. The biggest issue is the building entrance. It was not clean or inviting, with only a small sign outside and very little upkeep. When you first arrive, it can feel sketchy. The contrast between the entrance and the hotel floor is significant. The location is convenient if you want to be close to the Galleria dell’Accademia to see Michelangelo’s David and the Duomo. Service was another weakness. There is no 24-hour front desk, and even during checkout hours nobody was at reception. The housekeeping staff did not know we had already paid in advance and initially did not want us to leave. We had transportation to catch and could not risk missing it because of an internal communication issue, so we messaged the hotel through the booking platform. Overall, the room and breakfast were very good, but the entrance, 55-step climb, and limited service lowered the experience for us.

What a little gem! The hotel is in a perfect location; easy walking distance from the main sites and buses, but on a quiet street. My room was on the backside of the building so I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. My bed and pillow were also very comfortable. I was able to check in 30 minutes early which was super helpful. Despite being a very small hotel that isn’t staffed all day, the staff there was wonderful. The hotel is an incredible value and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
