"I loved that it seemed like our home away from home. The Tortuga Suite was spacious and beautiful. We have stayed at different unique places in Key Largo,and this one topped it.I would only suggest that there be a full length mirror somewhere in the room.

"The property is beautiful, nicely renovated and clean. A true gem is a covered patio with grill and a small beach right outside the door. There is plenty of local attractions to choose from near by. "This quiet, secluded resort was built in the 1950's, but is in surprisingly great condition. We booked a garden room with 2 queen beds, which is basically half of a cottage. The grounds were beautifully shaded with lush landscaping. The room wasn't very spacious, but was good enough for a short stay. "The woman at reception ( T.J. Gagle) was a delight, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She was fun to chat with. I also enjoyed the Starbucks machine in the lobby. The housekeeping staff was great and the location was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the sunsets over Florida Bay. I almost forgot but I really liked the chickens here and all over the Keys. We will be back. "
