Wilde Cambridge City Centre

Wilde Cambridge City Centre

10/10 Excellent
"We only spent one night but this was a great hotel. The check in staff were welcoming and helpful and remembered speaking to me in the phone earlier in the day and what I needed. The ground floor consists of their bar/lounge/cafe. It was lively and had a really good vibe. Our studio room was large, bright and clean. The kitchenette had everything we might have needed if we were staying longer. Blackout blinds meant the room was nice and dark and the air conditioning was silent…bliss. While we didn’t use the gym, we noted it provided lots of great machines and free weights. Great space. Breakfast was good (not great) but good enough. The location of the hotel was perfect, on a quiet street but an easy walk from the centre of Cambridge and lots of restaurants. The council car park below the hotel is hideously expensive. We parked at a different car park about a 10 minute walk away which was a fraction of the price."

"We stayed for two nights as we were in Cambridge for a wedding. The location was ideal for us as we got the train in and there is a bus stop just up the road that goes into Cambridge centre. Good food places nearby and supermarkets to get snacks/drinks etc. we didn’t have breakfast but coffee shop was nice touch. Bedroom a little small and just needs updating which did make it feel a little grubby. Nice bed and bedding though! Super quiet and the noise cancelling was brilliant bearing in mind our room looked out over a busy square with lots of people on a Friday night. Would stay again, great value at £214 for two nights over a weekend in August 😊"

The Jockey Club Rooms

The Jockey Club Rooms

10/10 Excellent
"The Jockey Club rooms is one of my favourite places to stay. Location is excellent for anyone wanting to stay in Newmarket, being easily accessible by car or train. Parking is readily available and secure. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The gardens are lovely - away from the hustle and bustle of the High Street. Breakfasts are first rate. The staff are friendly and efficient. Highly recommended especially for those with an interest in Racing."

Cambridge Quy Mill Hotel & Spa in Cambridge

Cambridge Quy Mill Hotel & Spa in Cambridge

8/10 Good
"Overall, I had a wonderful stay. The room could have done with some updating or deeper cleaning, particularly the carpet, and the bathroom could have done with a good scale removal and/or deep clean of the tile grouting and the far end of the tiles surrounding the swimming pool in the spa had a large number of dead bees around it, which made me curious as to how often this was monitored and cleaned. BUT… The room was comfortable, the bedding and towels were clean and comfortable, and towels were changed daily. There was a good selection of tea/coffee and biscuits, which were also topped up daily. The stand out here were the food and bar/restaurant staff. Both were outstanding. The two evening meals I had were top quality, there was a good selection of wine and I had a very well made Old Fashioned, The cooked breakfast was delicious - no real need to bother with the continental IMO, but sure it’s a good choice for others. The staff overall were all friendly and helpful, the hotel itself was set in wonderful surroundings and the gym and spa facilities were great to have access too."
