I booked a room at Captain’s Inn because I wanted to be in a relaxing place, with a view of the water. I watched the sunset and the moonrise. I sprawled in the huge bed (like a giant marshmallow!) and appreciated the sparkling spotless bathroom. The staff were all thoughtful and it was like staying at the home of a friend. Exactly what my weary soul needed.

Really fun place to stay right on the water which obviously explains the need for the balcony rails and floors to be repainted. Staff super friendly. If you’re looking for cozy (only three rooms with private bathrooms) accommodations then this is the place for you. Would not hesitate to go back.

Charming alternative

A charming alternative to the regular beach hotels and motels. The bed was comfy, breakfasts tasty, and being able to sit outside on the deck for morning coffee and a glass of wine after the beach was sweet.

Captains Cottage is a beautiful B&B with a warm, welcoming staff. The rooms are comfortable with their own spacious bathrooms. The decor throughout the home is pleasing to the eye and gives a beach house vibe. The breakfast was delicious and there were many amenities available for the guests. Personalized welcome notes and delicious chocolate biscuits greeted us as we stepped into our room. It was quiet and gave us the desired privacy and/or the warm, friendly conversations and recommendations from the owners and staff. The view of the harbor next door was lovely and peaceful. I would highly recommend Captain’s Cottage!
