"Love the happy hour and the proximity to downtown Darien. Some of the outside doors don't work with the hotel key which got annoying one night, but that is a small thing. Overall we like the Oaks."

"Good breakfast. Bed cover not like what I saw on internet on multiple pictures of stripped overlay over white comforter, just white comforter. Also no shampoo as shown in the pictures too were in the room; I asked the front desk. AC was good. Beds very comfy. TV good with good selection. I had expected suite with 2 queens as picture was confusing but description just said 2 queens. Oversall room was ok. My suggestion is to have humidifier in the hallway possibly as Sleep Inn does for humidity...

"Pool was closed. Room was good except for noisy group outside until 2 am. Convenient location. Food on-site was very average. "

"We were put in a handicap room and we did not request this. Our lights did not work and the staff just said it’s the only room we have. No apology or request to address the issue. My husband had to find the breaker and trip the switch for lights and he also had to attach the toilet seat! The worst hotel experience I have ever had! "

"Very rough part of town… adjacent buildings with boarded windows and people loitering at all hours. Right next to a loud bar. Six foot fence around property, I think that’s enough said. Only positive the doors are internal and not external."

"I really like this cute little place, but a couple of things could’ve been better, especially for the price. The small single cup coffee maker did not work and the walk-in shower was not clean. Luckily I bring cleaning wipes everywhere I go. I wasn’t a fan of the design of the shower as it had half a glass shower door, but nothing else. Other than that, the staff was really nice and answered all of our questions. Breakfast was delicious also."

"2nd time staying here in two years. Both times were great. A little pricier than you can find in the area but the breakfast is great, seating area for breakfast really comfortable, the small outdoor pool is great, ample easy access parking, dogs allowed, laundry area was also great. The beds are very comfortable, housekeeping staff nice. They will come in and change your sheets and towels daily which is a plus that I don’t experience everywhere I travel. Easy to opt out of too. Small area to buy...
