"Love everything! From the beautiful retro room to the heated floors in the bay to the comfy bed. We love the decor and we need some relaxing time. Wife and I wish it was warmer to see the property and water views but it was cold! Maybe we come back in the summer "

"Parking was easy which is a plus especially in a city like portsmouth. The town is extremely walkable so we didn't have to use the car again until we left. The staff was friendly and attentive. They asked what kind of coffee we wanted and even cleaned our room which included changing the towels. If we come back to portsmouth, I would definitely stay her again"

No parking was also a bit of an issue but we figured out the nearby town lot that was free and allowed 72 hour stay. "The room is spacious and clean with comfortable pillows. The rooftop bar and restaurant is lovely and a plus. The staff from the reception to the rooftop bar/restaurant were helpful and friendly with great service. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to others."

"Expected more from an Ascend property than new furniture and trim surfaces in the bathroom. This is an older motel with new amenities. TV didn’t work. Window wasn’t locked and took effort to lock (single story hotel). The only friendly person on.the staff was the lady prepping breakfast. It was a decent location to get downtown."

"This is a lovely place. The rooms were clean and the decor was thoughtfully chosen — not overbearing or kitschy. The kitchenette had all the necessary dishes, utensils and pots. The small grounds were nice and conducive to ready. The location was great. Very close to downtown Portsmouth and the price was reasonable, especially when compared with those just a couple of miles away in Portsmouth."
