"I paid £26 for the night, and felt like I overpaid.
Advertisement pictures are false. Maybe that room looked like this, once. Not any more. Stains on the walls, stank of cigarettes.
Bed looked like it's been slept in already. No towels provided. There was a kettle and some tea in the room, but no cups to make it in.
Shared toilet and bathroom, dirty, no soap, no shampoo.
Tried to raise issues with the property, but there was no answer on the phone number provided, and no reply via messages on...

"Stayed at Darwin House and the experience was pretty poor. The room I originally booked was already being used by another guest, with her belongings everywhere, so I was moved to Room 1. The phone number provided for help wasn't even in service at the time.

"We had a very stressful and disappointing experience. We arrived around 12:00 AM and were able to open the main entrance, but the room door would not open despite trying many times. We spent almost an hour trying to access the room and called for help, but there was no support available at all.
As a result, we were left outside late at night and had no choice but to book a hotel at the last minute, which cost us a lot of money. This caused a lot of stress, inconvenience, and extra expense.

"The advertised photos of the room are not anything like the room. We had two single beds and green covers with one pillow each.
Bathroom was dirty and no towels or anything in the bathroom apart from a toilet roll.
Bathroom door did not fit in the doorframe when closed and the door handle was coming off the door with lack of screws.
Bedroom had nothing in it apart from the beds and wardrobe.
Very dirty bedroom which had a very funny smell.
Will never stay there again and would not recormend to...
