"It was ok. Good for a couple of nights sleep and it was clean. Refrigerator froze our food. Parking is great. Stayed here for Sea Otter and would come back. "

"The property, though centrally located, seemed off the beaten track. The hotel, and other facilities consisted of several low buildings. My room was very quiet. The golf course views were wonderful. The lobby is beautiful and inviting with several areas to relax, read, or work. I would definitely stay here again."

"This is the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We were given an email address to discuss our dissatisfaction with the manager and they have not returned our emails. Garbage and filth in the room from previous travelers, mold in the sinks, tub, windows. Gaps around the broken door. COCKROACHES in the bathroom in the middle of the night! Trash around the property- run down amenities. Power turning off and on all night. The “pool” was being dominated by a private party that appeared to live there. AVOID THIS HOTEL!"

"Pet friendly but your pets have to go with you wherever you go. That’s hard at times for someone like me so make sure you got a way to transport your fur babies. Plenty of things within walking distance, you got Denny's and Walmart right next door. Glad this hotel has two washers and dryers which is a plus to me. Staff were nice as well, no complaints, it’s a great stay. "

"The perfect coastal escape for locals who want an oceanfront experience without a long drive. This hotel feels like a “training cruise”—you’re still on land, but completely immersed in the sound and presence of the ocean. Although the property sits along the main road and is conveniently close to top attractions like the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the oceanfront side is an entirely different world. Step out back and you’re transported into a peaceful, almost surreal beachfront setting. Highlights include the magical and romantic Lantern Room restaurant on the fourth floor, complete with a cozy wood-burning fireplace, and the stunning glass-walled lobby with a massive fireplace overlooking the ocean. The modern bar and the unique self-service wine machine—where you can pour one or two glasses daily as part of the resort fee—add a fun and upscale touch. The nightly “marshmallow box” treat is a 10/10, especially thanks to the high-quality chocolate. Dining at the Lantern Room (breakfast and dinner at additional cost) is a must, especially for the breads and pastries sourced from a well-known local bakery in downtown Monterey. The beachfront rooms are worth it—especially on upper floors for safety and views. The experience strongly echoes a cruise vibe: endless ocean views, the soothing sound of waves, and a long stretch of beach perfect for walks. It’s easy to spend days without leaving the property, fully unplugging and and resetting mentally. Amenities are a solid 10 out of 10"

"Air conditioning did not work and it’s a very loud environment people coming in and out all night slamming doors and yelling. "

"Place is close to everything, very clean place/room, friendly staff, breakfast has good selection and happy hour is add on. Overall excellent experience for 3 nights stay and highly recommended to anyone."
