The room was compact but spotless and well-organised, with a comfy single bed, en-suite bathroom, TV, and a side cabinet stocked with tea, coffee, and biscuits—such a thoughtful touch. It had been a long time since I’d slept in a single bed, but it was surprisingly comfortable and perfect for a good night’s rest. I’d definitely stay again and would recommend it to other travellers looking for a clean, cosy spot with all the essentials.

Breakfast was lovely but please try either Linda McCartney or Cauldren veggie sausages as even meat eaters love them. If we're ever in the area again we'll definately stay at The Blue Boar. "We checked in late night, sadly they have no room for the type of room that I have paid. I paid for executive room and the manager said that they are overbooked hence, can only give me a standard room (thats the only room left for that day). Helllowww, I have prepaid all my rooms and yet the hotel gave my room to someone who paid even lesser than me. The manager said things happened and it is better next time to book direcly with the hotel, not via third party. So I told them, that is not an excuse. If you want everyone to book directly from the hotel site, just dont work with third party agencies in the beginning.
Got the standard room checked in at midnight and the furniture is very old. There is pieces of instant noodles and left over vegetables near the sofa. Very bad maintenance for the standard room according to me.
The hot shower did not work properly. The pressure is not high enough, hence making the water wont switch to the shower head. "
