The hotel and rooms have a modern and minimalist design so that the focus is on the natural scenery outside. Breakfast has multiple courses and is delicious, especially their freshly baked croissants. The dining experience is generally calm and relaxing with the views of Arashiyama."

"The hotel was good overall and had a convenient location. The room size was actually quite good for Japan, which was a nice surprise. The hotel itself felt a bit old and could use some renovation. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t controllable—although they informed us about this from the beginning and even provided a fan at check-in, which helped. Cleanliness was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant stay."
