"We had a great day at the Saint Charles Inn. The property was spotless and smelled great and the staff was helpful. Unlike big hotel chains your room will be cleaned every day. Having the Superior Grill attached was a wonderful perk. Check out the happy hour specials. It is also right on the street car line for convenience and two blocks away from Robert’s fresh market, which is my favorite gourmet grocery store. Parking is free and gated. It is walkable to several nearby bars and restaurants....

"Unser Zimmer war nicht sauber (Haare, Schmutz, Flecken, klebrige Oberflächen, fleckige Handtücher) und enorm hellhörig. Wir hatten zu allem Pech noch extrem laute Nachbarn mit schrecklich schlecht erzogenen Kindern, sodass wir nicht nur den extremen Straßenlärm sondern auch noch Gestampfe, Gepolter und Geschrei von oben abbekommen haben. Nach Information der Rezeption wurde sich nicht einmal bei uns entschuldigt, geschweige denn ein anderes Zimmer angeboten - auch nicht, als wir explizit darum...

"Free onsite, secure parking. Room was very clean. Loved the seating area. There is a water filler for filtered water. There is some construction next door but rooms have a sound machine to help with the noise AND earplugs are provided. Excellent location. Street car line right across the street. Great restaurants and bars close by. 10/10 will stay here again. "

".OLD, dilapidated old, not quaint old. MANY, many stairs to get to your room and they are old metal stairs difficult to maneuver - no one to assist with luggage. No place to sit as you have to put your luggage on the plastic chair, No dresser - when I asked the staff she said I should just hang everything up. Even my underwear?  No mirror to check self before heading out. Light in bathroom unable to shed enough light to put on makeup. Curtains barely covered the window. A/C window unit was loud...

"The staff is very nice. The room was clean, however the charging station for iPhone, etc. next to the bed did not work. There was a leak in the bathroom that flooded the bathroom floor. The shower pan in the shower was stained and looked dirty. Higgins is a lovely hotel in general and in spite of the few minor glitches, we enjoyed our stay very much thank you"

"I stayed in a suite at the Pontchartrain hotel Hotel over the Easter weekend and the room itself was excellent-spacious, comfortable and full of character. It was definitely the highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the room. Staff came across as distracted and not particularly courteous. "Stayed for 2 nights. Very small rooms. Limited in-room amenities. A/C was great and chilled down the room quickly. Very friendly staff and check-in/check-out process was smooth and quick. Didn’t try the bar but they did have a full bar that looked well maintained. Breakfast & coffee is offered in the mornings. Safe location with code locked front doors. Plenty of free street parking surrounding the hotel. "
