"This property is noisy—all hall noise (there was plenty with young kids running around and slamming their room doors until 11:30 P) was heard plus some rooms are close to an interstate on-ramp, so engine acceleration heard.No full room darkening curtains so light from cars on that ramp was bothersome. Breakfast was ok. At checkin the hotel clerk said my room number out loud so others in the lobby heard it—that’s been a no no for years now. No elevator which was stated in the description, but...

"What a gem in the heart of downtown The Dalles! Our room was spacious, quiet, exceptionally clean, a super comfy bed and had a stunning black and white tiled shower. Very cool! Although the hotel was finishing a big remodel, it did not disrupt our stay in any way. The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.
