You reach the main shopping street in minutes. Rooms feel modern. Breakfast offers fresh bread, fruit and eggs. Staff keep things moving and refill items fast. You may notice some noise if your room faces the road. Ask for a higher floor if you want a quieter stay. We'd definitely stay again!"

"This was one of our favorite hotels on our rail trip through Switzerland! We visited during the last weekend before the fall tourist slow down. (Businesses and restaurants close for a month before ski season.) The hotel was clean and we were upgraded to a suite. The view of all the snowcapped mountains from our balcony was gorgeous. Breakfast was bountiful! There were many choices for us. The hotel also allowed us to leave our luggage with them after check out so that we could go sightseeing before our evening train departure. Our two regrets were that we couldn't stay more than one night and we couldn't eat more for breakfast! ;-) We highly recommend Hotel Alpenhof and will stay there again if we return to Gridelwald."
