"De Vere Tortworth Court is a beautiful and unique mansion, completely surrounded by nature, built over 170 years ago. We came to visit the Cotswolds, and this accommodation worked out quite well (it is a 40 mins-1h drive from the main villages). Things I loved: All the shared areas are well kept and organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as well as the bistro and the cocktail bar in the library room. "Was not told you have to pay for parking also roo.s were very basic and tatty. Hallways leading to the rooms were more like a youth hostel. Stayed here before and thought it was ok then but this was worse and now with having to pay for parking and unfriendly staff means we wont be coming back again "

"The receptionist was kind enough to let us park our car while we went up to Sugarloaf early in the morning. All the staff are very friendly. We had our dinner at their restaurant. Fish and chips lovely and cooked breakfast was very nice. Lovely view of the mountain from our bedroom. Room is very spacious,nice and clean. Bathroom is lovely and clean. Looking forward staying here again."

"A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away."

"Fresh breakfast, excellent staff! Good location on the edge of the town and lots of places to cycle to, including Puzzlewood which was the main reason for our stay. But there was a mechanical banging noise (like a shoe in a tumble dryer!) from 3.30am both nights we stayed that kept me awake. The whole experience was very 'meh' and we wouldn't recommend unless you are playing golf there."
