"They didn't have any non-smoking rooms so had to accept smoking room. The hotel is old and smell in the room was terrible and within 20 min of entering the room I had itchy eyes and throat. I tried to air it out with the A/C but the wall unit must have been as old as the hotel and it was saturated with tar. It made the room even stinkier and my eyes itchier. "Lovely hotel, rooms and views. Very accommodating, for a price. Comparatively expensive for the other places we stayed in Japan, but they were excellent. Designed to be a resort, it is unnecessary to leave the property but they made everything in the area very easy to access. Common area and restaurants were very pleasant spaces to relax. "
