This is a beautiful historic hotel and I recommend staying here. My only complaint would be the Spa. The treatment itself was lovely and relaxing but the spa itself lacked style, coziness and the treatment room itself was sterile.
The Fujiya is an elegant classic which feels delightfully creaky. Fine dining, Hot Springs Spa, pool and classic bar. This is for those who love the old school approach.
The Hotel Fujiyama was a real treat. A large, stately hotel for the ages, just oozing with charm. Gardens, lounge area and dining areas were delightful. Gym and pool were well equipped, new and clean. The on-site Onsen was absolutely fantastic. Overall, a tranquil and relaxing stay, which completely transported us.
This was the most charming hotel with so much history and beautiful details. We stayed in the Angel room, which was gorgeous and spacious, and had an amazing view of the mountains. The gardens behind the property were so pretty with little walking paths and waterfalls. We loved the 1920's feel of the property. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend!
Very historic property that was well kept and clean. The onsen was awesome with an outdoor view of the mountains. The Fujiya dining room was beautiful, enhancing the meal.
The Fujiya Hotel was an amazing experience. It’s a gorgeous, well preserved, historic hotel with stunning gardens and awesome amenities!
We utilized the spa and onsen both nights of our stay and are very sad to leave!
I hope I have the opportunity to return to this beautiful hotel!
The grounds are beautiful, enjoyed exploring the gardens outside property and at kikko-sa (japanese restaurant). Historical site, old charm, great view from our room
The staff is excellent and helpful. The location is convenient to get to Hakone loop.
The dinner in Cascade restaurant is excellent, 5 star delicious. The scenery surrounding the hotel is also very beautiful. Most impressive is the staff's outstanding service. It's almost like you are their life line.
A unique property beautifully mainted to the the original standard it was built. Staff extremely professional. Enjoyed the fixed course breakfast and al a carte dinner but try and reserve upon arrival since there are very few alternative dinner options in the area.
Good hotel in beautiful area.close to local train and surrounding areas. Hotel is clean and has lots of history. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend
The place is magical, historical place, the breakfast at Resturant. everything is silver, the wood carving, the hot bath , everything unbelievable. The best last man changing my plan because the tourist Japan company messed up. My trip caused me to find this place in this town.
Awesome hotel! The whole hotel is so beautiful, and all of the staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved that there were restaurants and the onsen and spa on site so we were able to relax without even leaving the property if we wanted. Everything was clean and well maintained and all of the restaurants were delicious! I would definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance.
loved the place, so much history & really does everything to preserve that. We had he forest wing corner room, which was great. Superb breakfast. Wished we’d stayed longer.
