"I was attending a course in the leisure centre next door. The Aqua was an excellent, relaxed place to stay. The staff/owners were polite, friendly and generated a relaxed atmosphere. The small, well stocked bar carried on this relaxing, informal atmosphere. (The squeaky bar stools could do with fixing but were still amusing) The food is top notch and very affordable. "Bed was not comfy as we had backache after second night , we turned mattress round was ok that night but the after that . The step into the shower was too high and we had to buy a step to get in it and also the floor surface was very slippy . Was ck an and tidy and overall not a bad place to stay and would recommend and return at some point "

"Steve is welcoming and runs a beautiful hotel. My room overlooked the sea,and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely , fresh fruits, compôte , yoghurts, warm bread and croissants. Lovely coffee. All in all I would recommend Chapter 1 as a very civilised resting place. "

"First thing is this is an old building. This gives the impression of character and the Jubilee hotel had plenty. The staff were friendly and within a few minutes I was settled in my upgraded room with a sea view. The room was comfortable with the tea and coffee usual suspects and a very good shower. This hotel is very well situated being a five to ten minutes walk from the shops and one minute walk from the beach. I will definitely recommend for a short stay."
