We absolutely enjoyed our overnight at this charming and quaint motel. We loved the hot tub and sauna. The grounds were so peaceful. Lots of adorable and thoughtful touches in our room too! The staff was incredibly helpful during check in. We will be back and recommending it to everyone traveling in this area.

Honestly, I was here for the reasonable rate. My expectations were low. BUT- if I were near Grayling again, I would go out of my way to stay here. Spotlessly clean, plenty of towels, soft sheets, QUIET! Beautifully renovated but still feels like a vintage time capsule 1940s motor court.

The Windmoor was so cute! The amenities here were incredible too. It was easy to find, access, and had everything we needed. The only thing that kept it from a 5* rating was the amount of earwig bugs we had to kill upon arrival (no exaggeration, 30+). I'm sure they'll fix this though. Beyond that, it was a perfect place to stay, and would highly recommend staying there!

A fantastic spot to stay! Looks to be recently updated. It has a great common space in the back with lots of amenities. The staff were also super helpful and accommodating.

It was the off season apparently as I was one of the only guests, if not THE only one. The room was nice. In the morning, I was cooked a fresh hot breakfast since they weren’t having the buffet due to so few guests. It was great! I only stayed for one night as I was just passing through, but everything was wonderful!

Hot Tub was a good temperature (despite outside air temp being only 8 degrees). Pathway to hot tub was nicely clear despite the snow and ice in the area. Clean room. Comfortable bed. WIFI worked great.

We loved the retro vibe and clean space. Self-check-in and communication with the hosts were simple and friendly. We were in town for a wedding, so we fought over the single small mirror getting ready, but overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

If youre not a people person this place is perfect. Never had to talk to anyone. Lol! It was very nice and clean and peaceful. Had a cool vibe to it, being a modernized old school motel. Id definitely stay again.

Perfect Place

Staff was very helpful & friendly. I had My Mom 89 years old you just walked right into the room very clean and it had a beautiful back yard with some paths. Picnic tables hot tub & sauna . It was very easy for her to get around with her walker. We will be back. Also dog friendly. I wish i would've taken pictures.

Wonderful stay

The room and property were kept up very nicely. Very comfortable and clean room. However the shower specifically in the corners in the grout had black mold. So I would address that. I know it’s common with showers but it’s definitely noticeable and something to address. But I would 10/10 stay here again other than that.

We had a small issue with check-in—there’s no on-site staff, so everything is done online, and you need to text them a day in advance for instructions. Just something to keep in mind before arriving. That said, the technician who helped us was great and super friendly. The room was beautiful, newly renovated, and had all the amenities we needed. The property also has a lovely backyard with tennis courts and a barbecue area, which made our stay even more enjoyable!

This property is pet friendly with a small reasonable fee. Very clean. Super comfortable bed and pillows. Great outdoor area out back for families to enjoy or for your pet to run around. Easy to access and check in. We had an issue with the heat and wifi upon check in. Be aware that there is no one onsite to help you if something comes up with the room. They were very responsive over the phone to our issues and compensated us for what they couldn’t resolve that evening. We were staying as an overnight stop on a road trip and this worked out well. Close enough to Grayling to order takeout.

No working internet. Overbearing febreeze plug in.smell was overpowering and made it hard to breathe. Luke warm shower. Previous guest had not signed out on tv so we couldn’t load our account. The bedside lamp had a wire with no plug attached. Other than that the remodel was clean and well done.

I liked that it was an older motel that had been completely renovated in a very tasteful way. The room smelled fresh and clean! The wallpaper was unique and also tasteful. There was one small glitch - the night had turned quite cool. My husband gets chilled very quickly, and we couldn’t get the room heat to come on. The bathroom heater did, tho, and probably helped after a time. The comforters on the bed helped quite a bit. I’d stay there again, tho, in a minute. We were offered the use of the fire pit, sauna, pickleball court ( I think). I’m happy to help put Windsor Motel on the map!

The Warbler Room. Look closely at the wallpaper. Beautiful and unique. Beds were clean and firm, with fresh downy comforters.
Fire pit and walkway. Walkway has lighting built-in.
