"The main reason we chose this hotel was for the rooftop. It was closed, yet no one could tell us why, and if and when, it would reopen. I don’t think asking for an explanation was unreasonable. We also asked the concierge to arrange a cab. There was a $20 fee for this service. We walked out to the corner and hailed our own."

"This hotel States what it is. To convert an old office building into what is being used as a hotel right now is amazing. The only issue is the elevator took a lot of time to get it times, but I think a lot of that had to do with the 4th of July weekend. Your staff at that hotel is absolutely amazing and was so helpful."

"Rooms were poorly maintained and falling apart. Dirty and the elevators were constantly having operational issues. Very poor connectivity and WiFi. Very far from any trains. They charge you to hold your baggage, something very basic and free even across NYC. Wouldn’t return or recommend."

"welcome at the hotel was dismal, workers were on strike and would scream in our faces every time we walked by. They were loud and disrespectful to us (we had 2 teenage girls that they screamed at daily)
We were travelling with a military veteran and the hotel would do nothing for us as we booked through a third party????
We were emailed about the strike a day or so before but in new york city it wouldn’t be easy to find a place on such short notice close to what we were there for.

"Didn't like that they made actually made us wait until 3pm to check us in. No glassware in the rooms and the ice machines was broken on most of the floors. Check-in was ridiculous and Check out was the same. They need to update to being able to check out on the TV. Location is perfect"

Staff was extremely helpful. I appreciate they showed such personable attention, even storing our suitcases for a couple hours. Love the coffee/expresso and water.

"Make sure your door closes behind you. We came back and the door was not closed all the way, I noticed this when we first arrived. I think it was a heat on the time we were there, I am sure the air conditioning could not keep up with the heat expected over July 4th weekend."
