Grindelwald hotel guide. Sunstar Hotels hotel in Grindelwald, Canton of Bern

There is no doubt that the steep, but short climb up to this hotel is utterly worth the view

everything is great, view, people and room

Amazing stay in Grindelwald. Hotel was very clean, beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was ample - eggs, cereal, fruit and meats and nespresso or filter coffee. If it started even 30 mins earlier would be amazing as need to out early if doing hikes. The door to the left from the lift was amazing for accessing the terminal station but guests can’t enter this way coming back. Very steep climb to the village but the 121 bus from the terminal takes you up there. This ends about...

Great location, good access to the town, trains and cable cars. We came in April so no queues. The view from our bedrooms was amazing. Breakfast was continental but also included egg, bacon etc I would stay again.

This hotel is Swiss utopia!! We had a fantastic room with a large balcony right below the north face of the eiger. Sumptious but contemporary with a great shower. The breakfast was excellent, overflowing with cereals, fresh fruit bread, cheese, cold meat and freshly cooked eggs, bacon and sausages. The views from every aspect of the hotel were spectacular- from our room, the restaurant, the terrace and the outdoor jacuzzi. The wellness area was the perfect way to recover from the long walks in...

Superb, view was exceptional.

Excellent location, room and breakfast. Front desk staff specifically Melanie was greta! Only thing about housekeeping, never cleaned any spills or stains on tables or replaced glasses. Else a great stay. Have an excellent spa

The rooms are nice and cozy and clean however the bath robes could have been more cleaner as I found other people’s hair on them. That said everything else was great. The rooms were nice and cozy although I really think they should’ve put water for guests in a five star resort there really should’ve been bottled water there is nothing. The breakfast was great many options available breathtaking views the ball was great as well. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel although I was out for most...

The best hotel I ever stayed in my life

Excellent location just by the station. A good breakfast and we had a balcony mountain view which was lovely.

Stayed here for a long weekend, chose this hotel deliberately after an previous visit some years ago. There is a lot to do in this region in all seasons, we went up three local mountains including the excellent Jungfraujoch train journey, seeing everything from a whiteout in cloud/snow to a bright day with slopes filled with skiers. As well as the Grindelwald region, took a short drive to the Lauterbrunnen valley, quite different in nature and went up to Piz Gloria, featured in the James Bond...

Fantastic experience. Reasonable room rates so that you can spend better on sight seeing and food. All common amenities are managed well and with very high degree of cleanliness. Breakfast was very good. Very close to bus stop and Grund station. In short it is very good option

I have stayed in many hotels all over the world but I have never experienced such warmth and hospitality as shown by Dani and Linda. Theyre hotel is so homely and full of character and the views are quite breathtaking. You are made to feel so genuinely welcome from the moment you arrive and you literally do arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. The breakfast was just delicious, something for everyone and all fresh local produce. Dani offers you an additional and quite delightful local...

Very clean, good location (2 min walk to train station). Staff very helpful. Breakfast plenty of choice. Would highly recommend for activities in Interlaken and surrounding areas.

I’d like to give an extra star to the team who prepared an early breakfast just for us, as we had to leave before the usual breakfast time. Everything about this hotel is pleasant and comfortable. The restaurant offers excellent food and local wines, and we truly enjoyed our stay here. A big thank‑you to the whole team!
