The hotel was okay overall, but it felt a bit run down and could use some updates. The staff interactions were somewhat impersonal, and we didn’t feel particularly welcomed during our stay. Unfortunately, the food quality was quite disappointing and did not meet our expectations. The buffet area also had an unpleasant odor that made dining there difficult. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends.

I have never left a negative review before. I understand that no property is perfect, and I always try to focus on the positive. However, this experience was serious enough that I feel obligated to share it. I am giving this Royalton two stars only because the staff members were genuinely kind and welcoming. They were doing their best under what appeared to be challenging conditions. Unfortunately, the property itself was in poor condition. The building was consistently dirty throughout our stay. There was construction happening day and night, making it impossible to rest. The pool water was cold, the hot tubs were not working, and there were no towels available after 3:00 PM. Housekeeping was inconsistent and difficult to access. Most concerning, we saw cockroaches in the building and mold in the bathroom. That is not acceptable at any level, especially for a resort that promotes itself as a premium experience. Guests plan, save, and sacrifice for their vacations. Time off is precious and cannot be replaced. When guests invest their limited time off and trust a brand at this level, the experience should reflect that commitment. I trust leadership will take appropriate steps to address both the operational gaps and their impact. ( Pictures and videos are available)

I had an amazing experience during my stay at the Hide away. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and well taken care of. A special shoutout to Tashael Joseph, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail truly elevated the entire stay. I also want to highlight Eddie from valet, who was incredibly friendly and efficient every time I needed my car. His upbeat attitude and helpfulness made coming and going effortless. The resort itself was beautiful, but it was the people who made the experience exceptional. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

The facilities were all pretty good. The buffet was always lukewarm, but pretty tasty. The highest point were my butlers, Raymond and Kurtney! They gave EXCELLENT service and was a tremendous representation of your organization! They were the ones that saved my experience. The greatest downside was the children everywhere. I always choose an adult ONLY resort, which is what I thought this was. The Hideaway was an adult only section, but if you share everything else with the family resort it defeats the purpose.

Cleanliness, quality of food, long wait times, advertise 7 restaurants but only 1 and buffet open. Staff ignores you when you approach the bar, most look like they don’t want to be there. Made reservations for the Culinary Experience, when we arrived it was closed. Made reservations for private beach dinner pre-ordered the surf and turf package. The package stated “ lobster and filet.” When we were seated and champagne opened we were told they were out of lobster, and prawns were the substitute. We received thin, tough meat and small shrimp. Never received our birthday gift from guest services. Awful, I do not recommend.

Property was lovely. 50% of the staff were amazing. Food was decent. Buffet had a large selection and was never crowded Tashael from Expedia was located on the property and was amazing. She was able to help us book all of the restaurants for the entire stay and helped with anything else we needed.

Everything was great, location, restaurants, beach, pools and lounge areas were all very clean and the resort was not packed or crowded. Very nice all inclusive stay.

St lucia review My wife surprised me with a trip to the Royalton Saint Lucia, and while I would never complain in front of her about a gift like this, it was clear that she was disappointed given the cost and expectations. The resort is marketed as a luxury experience, which is of course subjective, but it did not feel luxurious to us. Upon arrival, we were dropped off at the so-called VIP check-in area, which was underwhelming. The drop-off itself felt more like a motel entrance than a luxury resort. Ironically, the main hotel reception area looked far more appropriate, so I’m not sure why VIP guests are directed to this separate space. The VIP check-in felt like a brightly lit waiting room with no real décor or atmosphere. There was no welcome drink, no sense of arrival, and no experience that made us feel like we had booked an adults-only luxury resort. Check-in was slow and inefficient, to the point that we didn’t even want to wait for the bellboy and carried our own luggage to the room. My wife had booked an ocean-view room. In reality, most rooms at the resort appear to have some form of ocean view, as the buildings are laid out in a horseshoe shape facing the cove. Our room was fine and did have a partial ocean view, but it didn’t feel meaningfully different from what I imagine most other rooms would offer. Poor service, cheap liqure, low quality food We booked the presidential suit in the Hideaway Resort for the Christmas and stayed in tge unit 3310. It is a 3 star service and food with a 5 star price, way overpriced and disappointing. We tried to make the best of it. The staff response very slow and often simply ignore the request and won't provide it. Only cheap liquor, no premium wine or whiskey (even to purchase to enjoy it). They don't even provide straw and expect you to drink the smoothies! Our bathroom lights went out tonight out of four nights, and had to use my flash light. No sheets or pillows for the sofa bed, it took several phone calls to get them at midnight! At arrival, the receptionist didn't bother to stand up or even offer help to move our bags to the room! The elevators are dirty, like has not been cleaned in years, way small, and no fan or ventilation, and definitely watch out for its door, it closes fast and hits you hard! The shower valve hot/cold direction was wrong and burned us a couple of times! Their hair dryer did not plug into the bathroom outlet! Wrong type, Lol! The shower water flow was slow and insufficient, yet the water pressure in the public area resroom was so fast and strong that would soak you standing two feet away! I asked for SCUB Diving and they signed me for SNUBA! I can list another 10+, but i guess you got it.
