The rooms were comfortable, the public spaces were stunning, and the location made it easy to explore downtown Chattanooga. One of the highlights was taking the haunted room tour. Even if you’re not a believer in ghost stories, the history behind the hotel is fascinating and adds a unique dimension to the experience. It was both entertaining and memorable. I highly recommend The Read House to anyone visiting Chattanooga. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, great hospitality, or a little mystery, this hotel delivers a truly special stay."

"First and foremost, kudos to Alex and his wonderful wife, two of the most engaging hoteliers my wife and I have ever encountered...and we have traveled the world. We were immediately made to feel at home and treated like old friends. The room we stayed in was exquisitely designed and appointed. Our breakfast was made to order and was the best scrambled eggs and pancakes I've ever eaten at a motel. Alex single-handedly added value to our too-short stay with his humor, his insights, his recommendations and his graciousness. The next time I am within 100 miles of Manchester, TN, I'm making a special trip to go visit the Patels and their unique motel."
