"We were headed north to Durness, but the snow, dark, and road conditions required us to stop last minute in Ullapool. I made our room reservation sitting at the gas station down the street. Despite us being late and very last minute, the staff welcomed us warmly (thank you, Linda!), in less than a minute we were set up in our room.
