"The host was very attentive. Greeted with complimentary waterbottle was nice. Location is not the best. Far from everything,Walking. But Uber transportation was easy. There is a charge if you want to pay Credit just so you know. Cash is preferred. Breakfast included is coffee or juice and 1 piece of toast and small portion of fruit. Overall ok for my 1 night spent there. And good price. Bring mosquito repellent. "

"Don't be put off by the rough roads and decrepit buildings in this area. Behind these funky doors is a beautiful oasis of calm and serenity! "A peaceful, relaxing oasis with a beautiful pool/ courtyard area and comfortable rooms decorated in a traditional style. The homemade breakfasts were incredible and more than substantial. Easy walk to town center, shopping and restaurants (but without the noise of the city). George, Sarah and Aaron were always available and very helpful. "We had an excellent stay at Villa Orquidea and still had more places on our list after a week in Merida. Our hosts Griselda, Sonia & Denise were very helpful with ideas for restaurants, things to see and private drivers. There are so many good restaurants!
