Dear Barbara at Hotel Raba,
Anger, frustration, and extreme disappointment do not begin to describe the emotions I felt upon check-in at your hotel when the front desk could NOT find my reservation. In fear that something could have gone wrong, I printed my confirmation of my “pre-paid” hotel stay. Unfortunately, that did not help my case. It was not until 2 hours after learning that Hotel Raba had no record of my reservation AND no hotel rooms available that this was ALL due to your carelessness to properly document your system with a note stating that I would be arriving 1 day late. In fact, Expedia tried to modify my reservation by shortening it by 1 night but you refused to do so. It was in that very moment that my nightmare of being without a room for the entire 4-night stay could have been avoided. Because you failed to take care of your responsibilities, your hotel staff DELETED my reservation. I and another person that was going to room with me, were left with NOTHING. Thank God another person traveling for the same reason was kind enough to share her room with us - 2 people that she had not planned to room with. Mind you that I had to sleep on a pull out sofa bed the entire time with no working air conditioning to worsen matters.
I am very grateful for the efforts that Expedia and Learn Hustle Grow (travel agency) made to help me get a refund in total. The irony in all of this is that had you just modified the reservation from 5 nights to 4 nights, you wo
