"Rooms are a bit dated but super clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Most guests were elderly and extremely friendly, and it was completely silent at night."

"We booked this ryokan to get an authentic high-class Japanese experience and that's exactly what we got. We slept on tatami mats on the floor in a large room; we had our own private dining room where a huge variety of gourmet quality food was served for dinner; we used a very clean large onsen in the hotel which had both indoor and outdoor pools; we could help ourselves to water, tea and coffee any time we wanted. The staff were extremely helpful, including providing a shuttle service into town any time we needed it. What we missed was a comfortable chair or sofa to relax in and we didn't find a single English-language channel on the TV (a minor issue)."

"From the minute we arrived we felt so cared for. Kaki and Harada-san were so welcoming and helpful in orienting us, showing us to our room, and showing us how to wear the yukata. We reserved the private onsen and were very glad we did. We greatly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer."

"We chose this property because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, and if anything, Kojinmari exceeded expectations. We absolutely loved our stay and would come back again without hesitation. The room was a work of art--beautiful and immaculately clean, and we really enjoyed the half outdoor shower and private bath. The location was also ideal. We had great view from our balcony and could easily walk to everything in Kinosaki. Perhaps most memorable were the hosts. They prepared incredible food for us (honestly some of the best we had anywhere during our two-week Japan trip) and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. They also provided everything we needed to visit the onsens in town and always greeted us with a smile. Book this property - you won't regret it!"

Highly recommend a 2 night stay. Easy train tourney from Osaka."

The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk from the famous bathhouses, restaurants, and the charming canal, making it incredibly easy to enjoy everything this wonderful town has to offer. One of our favorite parts of the stay was being able to immerse ourselves in the unique atmosphere of Kinosaki while returning each evening to such a peaceful and comfortable hotel. Every interaction with the staff reflected the warmth and care for which Japan is known. If you’re planning a visit to Kinosaki Onsen, I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. It combines outstanding service, comfort, and an ideal location to create a truly unforgettable experience. We would gladly stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful town."

"The location of the ryokan was great as it was just a few minutes walking from the station. It’s also very close to the most popular of the seven onsens. The staff are also extremely nice and the old lady who led me to my room and served me tea was very kind and caring. I highly recommend this ryokan for how good it is and a price that really can’t be beat. Also you get a pass to all of the onsens once you check in. Highly recommend "

"A good spot to stay in Kinosaki. The room itself was pretty outdated with an old tv - I really enjoy when hotel TV's have casting capabilities which this one did not. But the service and meals service was excellent, it's a self-serve buffet style dining which is great if you're a slightly fussy eater like myself. A little disappointed that the room view was blocked by netting for maintenance, which Inwas advised prior to arrival but after booking. I think some form of discount would have been nice for the inconvenience considering I had booked a river view room."
