"This lodging is a hidden gem away from Poas but close enough to get to the crater within 20 minutes. The views from the dining area were spectacular. The owner, Cindy, communicated clearly and often. She provided excellent directions to the property which is located high up on a hill in a residential area. The bedding was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend Serenity Ecolodge for a stay near Poas Volcano. I have nothing but good things to say about the...

"After a late night arrival due to our delayed plane ride, we were treated with kindness and patience in the wee hours of the morning. Vicky helped to arrange a taxi for us in the morning, and made sure we could safely get to our room. The room was clean, and exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling. In the morning when she needed assistance she was there with a helping hand. This was a great landing spot upon our arrival. "

"Peter and his staff were so kind and welcoming, he even stayed up until 1am for our late flight. The only complaint are the beds were pretty stiff, but that’s common in CR. It’s under the flight path of the airport so you will hear the jets every now and then, it can be loud at times. Overall I was very pleased with the sincere kindness we received, that to me means a lot. Thanks!"
