Clean room. Most of the staff are nice and helpful especially Mr. Yamamoto. He is very nice and considerate. One of the day we stayed was raining heavily and our shoes got wet. He worried that we'd be cold and took the initiative to lend us an electric kettle to boil water.

Hakone Kowakien TEN-YU
Didn’t really feel like a spa hotel. Yes they have hot baths, but most people from the uk won’t want to go in naked. We used the bath on the balcony which was nice. Apparently there are massage chairs in the spa area.

Hakone Ashinoko Hanaori
Many things in Hakone were cloaed. Had dinner at the buffet which was amazing. The room was gorgeous with our private onsen. This was so relaxing. The hotel smelled amazing.

Good enough stay; overall could improve. Budget option with a nice onsen. People without a rental car, consider there is no shuttle and the bus service to amenities is extremely limited.
