"Easy to find hotel, close to amenities/trains/shops. Great size room for my solo stay, room was nice and clean, bed was quite rigid and uncomfortable but no other complaints at all. Very good budget stay."

"Booked for business, stayed here before. No mention that building work is happening on any booking sites. Worked 3 nights, got about 8 hours sleep throughout that time. Do not stay here if you plan/need to be in the hotel during the day."

"Close to the train station, easy check in and out. Easy location for uber and getting around. Supermarket in walking distance, room was comfortable nice view and breakfast was great. "

"Apart from a couple little marks the rooms were amazing. The security I felt was great and staff really helpful and friendly. Only think was I wished every room had a mini fridge that could fit a small milk to make drinks easier in the rooms. "

"The hotel is about 10 minutes from the Hammersmith underground. As you walk out cross over and walk on the right side straight down Shepherds Bush Rd. Lillian was wonderful and very accommodating. We were able to leave our luggage and go sightseeing.The room was clean but a bit warm for me. We turned off the heat the next night but it was still extremely warm although we had cracked the window open. It might be nice for the hotel to consider getting a few fans for the vrooms especially as summer is approaching. There was coffee in the room but the milk was not refilled. The bathroom is clean and we did have fresh towels but no wash rags so make sure to pack one. We went to a great cafe a few steps down called The Green Cafe. Very nice place for coffee , breakfast or lunch. You will also get 10 percent off if you mention that you are staying at The Star. Also I was glad to find brown grainy bread available as most other places had only white or sourdough. Overall it’s a nice small hotel in a good location."
