"Room was a mad bargain at under £70 including breakfast. The site is substantial and well maintained, in a charmingly rural quarter. Quick and friendly check-in. Chucked bags into room and immediately came down for dinner. Nice 2 course meal was filling, one noticed excellent fittings eg flooring etc in the 'Nookery' restaurant. "The first room we stayed in was on level 5 it had no air conditioning and was extremely hot. We were told that the hotel was full so we couldn’t move to another room. The window was very small and only opened a few inches. We asked again 2 days later and were given another fan. However, it just blew the hot air around very noisily. After not being unable to sleep on the fourth day we asked again about another room and we moved to a room on the first floor with really quite and effective air...

"Very positive experience. Arrived in the morning due to early flight time and they checked us in and said they would look after our overnight bags until our room was ready. Then within 20 minutes they actually had allocated us a room at 9.00 am in the morning. The cafe in the hotel is very good and offered good options for breakfast, general eating and drinking. Staff friendly and helpful."

"Modern facilities with old-fashioned charm. The rooms are a good size; we had a view of the garden which was very pleasant. All the staff were cheerful and helpful. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner is decked out in crisp white table cloths with smartly dressed waiters. Both the garden bar and the terrace at the front of the hotel with beautiful views across the bay are both lovely places to enjoy a drink. The outdoor pool looked good though we didn't use it. "Expedia charged for beach view room but we got a back of hotel room where staff shifting cages of laundry at 7am every morning. Hotel was nice enough, but you clearly pay for stunning views."

"This is our 2nd time staying at De L'Etang. We like the comfortable & clean room, friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast options & delicious Greek food in the attached Taverna! Close to St Helier & bus routes. Wonderful outlook over the beach. When we next have a holiday in Jersey, we will happily book De L'Etang again."

Our main problem was our room was at the front corner of hotel overlooking a main road & roundabout,the traffic noise was really loud and did not subside until after midnight,the hotel was full until our final day so changing rooms was not an option."
