"Our room had not been completely cleaned prior to our arrival. Well, we noticed minor issues,It wasn’t until we woke up the next day that we found a used condom on the floor under the nightstand. The front desk hotel staff were mortified when we told them about this but it still is something you don’t expect when you reserve a room anywhere."

"Very large group was checking in for the weekend. ( conference ) They took up a major portion of the lobby as well as the area coming out of the garage. We had to wait for an extended time to get checked in. My suggestion would be to have the rooms designated and a credit card on file prior to their arrival. There was so much discussion with each conference attendee about the room they were getting. Transient guests should not have to wait for large groups to get checked in. My other suggestion...

"There was a lightening storm and the power had gone out for several hours but in the early hours of it my daughter was having a panic attack in the lobby because of the storm and the woman at the front desk helped her calm right down. She was so sincere."

"The hotel is under renovation, but I was surprised to find there's no ramp from the reception area to the elevators; you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. The carpets on the fourth floor are quite worn and have mildew stains. The room had good air conditioning, but the bathroom was in poor condition and the bathtub was stained. The towels and sheets were clean. Overall, I'd give it a 5/10."

"I’ve stayed at many cheap hotels and this was definitely the worst experience. We had accidentally booked a room on the smoking floor and had it moved to another floor but the elevator still smelt bad and the room smelled weird. The staff was not very friendly or helpful and the place had an overall gross vibe. I left early in the morning to catch a flight but couldn’t imagine wanting to eat their provided breakfast in such a place."

Eg: even the nicer rooms only have one sink, the gym was terrible, the towels felt threadbare etc. That said, dinner in their restaurant was fun (mostly because of the friendly service) and they have some nice art around the property."

I wouldn't pay the full rack rate. It's a great throwback to the old two story motels where every door opens to the outside. "Considering it’s in a nice area and pricey, the sinks and shower water pressure was terrible. There is none so you can’t wash your hair. The showers had dirt imbedded into the floors, a magic eraser goes a long way. Just wasn’t matching the price of the rooms nor the location being it was close to purchase ny. "do not park in the street, white plains does not allow overnight parking. the fee is $20 but you would have to move the car by 8am. the $25 parking fee is great because this hotel offers a 12pm checkout time"

"Breakfast was good, and the surrounding area was great. There were stains on the couches from unidentified bodily fluids, the tub didn’t work and there was poop on the ground next to the toilet. Unclean and gross, and the air conditioning made a loud knocking noise that woke us up every half hour. Also the ice machine didn’t work on our floor. They gave us some money towards breakfast for the inconvenience but I wouldn’t recommend anyone stays here"
