"Beautiful location and property very nice but can't believe there is no lift / elevator in the building. Disappointing breakfast offering. Two breakfast buffet offerings advertised, continental £12.95 and hot £16.95 but on the first day there was no hot buffet. Hot food was ordered a la carte from the kitchen (plated) and price remained £16.95 regardless of what was ordered. Surely pricing should have been adjusted. Overall a very pleasant stay but if you're a senior or someone with disabilities...

We didn't have breakfast, but will next time. Car parking excellent. We will definitely return to this hotel and hopefully enjoy the amenities, as this visit we were just staying for one night and didn't have time enjoy the splendour of the hotel."

"The staff were efficient and professional. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast staff were rushed off their feet and it was obvious that more staff were needed as tables were stacked with used crockery and the breakfast items ran out in several areas. Not the fault of the staff on duty but the issue of needing more staff. I would also have preferred not to have to pay for parking albeit reduced."

The woman we spoke to didn’t seem very interested or concerned, and we were disappointed that nobody even asked if we were okay given the circumstances. "The property could definitely do with updating; a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. However, I would describe the property as quirky. Parking limited but safe. Staff go above and beyond, very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Overall 4 stars, just needs a bit of TLC."
