"Firstly, it was lovely to stay in an independently owned hotel where the staff clearly have great pride in their hotel and ensuring that guests are happy with their stay. Everyone was charming and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and the evening meal, although not an extensive menu, was freshly prepared and nicely presented. "The hotel was lovely and met all our needs. The food was great and the beds super comfy . The only problem to me was the overbearing air freshener which they seem to pump out throughout the hotel . It was far too strong for me ( migraine sufferer). Fortunately it did not smell in my room ."

"Large clean room with crisp sheets on the bed. Both the bed and the pillows were too firm, resulting in limited sleep I was convinced that continental breakfast was included when I booked the room. However the Expedia booking did not state that ,nor did the information sent to the Porters Lodge. The charge was though only £5 pp."

"The room was good in size and decor , garden room suite. We were on the ground floor the room above us you could hear everything even the person snoring , the floor must have been floorboards and we could hear everything, This woke us up and continued throughout the morning!"
